1 can (15 ounces) PEAR halves Bartlett extra light syrup
1 box (81/4 oz.) PEAR halves Bartlett extra light syrup
1 can (15 ounces) blueberries in light syrup
Apricot halves 1 (83/4 oz.) box in extra light syrup
Juice of 1 small lemon
1/2 cup almonds, toasted, sliced
Drain cans PEAR halves; cut into small pieces. Drain apricots; reduce by half. Drain cranberries; divide among salad plates and arrange; arrange pears and apricots as well. Top salads with lemon juice and almonds; serve.

Chicken skewers
Makes 4 servings
1 can (15 ounces) halves of Bartlett PEAR
Cup barbecue sauce 1/2 bottle
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, chopped
8 kebab skewers
1 red, green or yellow sweet pepper, cut into 11/2 square inch
chicken breasts boned, skinless 1 book or thighs, cut into 2-inch. / 11
Preheat the grill or broiler. Drain pears, reserving the juice. Cut pears into 11/2 inch; set them aside. In a bowl, combine sauce barbecue, honey, mustard, garlic and 3 tablespoons of the reserved PEAR juice. 4 Skewers, alternating slices of PEAR and pepper.
Skewers remaining, place chicken pieces. Brush the skewers all ingredients generously with sauce mixture. ASE average chicken over coals for 10 minutes (or Grill) for 5 minutes, skewers, basting from time to the sauce.
Add skewers of pera-pimienta; make Grill 5 to 7 minutes (or Grill 2-4 minutes), or until the chicken is no longer pink and pears and peppers are heated through. Serve skewers of chicken and skewer for a PEAR per serving.
